Vette(s): 1972 Convertible, ontario orange, ps/pb/pw/air conditioning and 31,000 original miles.
I"ve been working on the vacuum hose system of my 1972 because the heater and air conditioner vents did not work. I had to tear apart the dash to work on the vacuum problem. Now I noticed my interior console lights won't turn off and the outside running lights are on all the time also but I can turn them off by turnig the headlight switch to the left as if you are turning the cosole lights on and off.
Any ideas what could caused this mess without just buying a new light switch. Thanks, David

Ground problem. Probably in the console area. Been there, done that. Knocked a ground wire off once and had goofy things happen to the console lights.
