Vette(s): 1969 Coupe

Am in the process of redoing all console pieces. Was the black a satin or semi gloss?  Also, I purchased this car with an interior in boxes. Could someone please send me some detailed pix of a 69 Coupe interior? It would really help put this puzzle together.(nh3tek@aol.com)

Vette(s): 1981, Black/Black, Engine bumped to about 400HP.Ext/int mostly stock.
Sorry I can't help on a definitive definition for the amount of factory sheen on the console.  However, I would suggest that instead of painting the console, you buff it so it is original plastice finish instead of painted.  My looked pretty crappy.  But I rubbed it out with 1500 grit sandpaper, then polished with some brand of "Plastic polish" that you can find at any parts house.  I like the look and it will be much more durable that paint.

The original paint on the center console area was all semi-gloss black. I redid mine last summer and used a satin black paint and I like the look of it. Be sure to coat the chromed area with vasoline or chap stick to make it easy to remove from the chromed area, then you won't have to mask anything off.
