Vette(s): 1979 Black coupe. 11256 original, documented, miles on it when I bought it in April of 2000. It now has 13100 on it. Oyster interior, like new. Everything original, everything works, except the clock. Paint has a couple of minor flaws.

The name of the color is silver blue code 912 Not sure what the A is for...

The paint code for 912 is silver blue. It was used in 1963 and 1964. The code you have listed is for a 1963 = 912A The paint code for a 1964 = 912AA. What serial number is the car you are looking at ? What other information is stamed on the trim tag. The build date is stamped in the upper left corner a letter and number combo ? Style info ? trim info ? body info ? In 1964 throught 1967 Corvette body were made in to plants St. Louis and A.O. Smith in Michigan.
