Vette(s): 1980 Repainted Custom Pearl White

I need help!!!! My 80 Vette has an Oyster interior.  The steering wheel was replaced about three years ago.  I am finding it next to impossible to keep this thing clean.  Its white leather, does anyone know of a cleaner which will get this thing really clean without stripping the color out of it?

Thanks Glenn

Glenn, I've have a '82 with a silver interior and have good luck with a leather cleaner called "Zymol". However I forgot where I got it. Their web address is:

www.zymol.com

For leather b- I use sadle soap or coach leather polish

Donot use Windex or Mr Clean they tend to disolve the color as well

Tip Of The Day:

Keep baby wipes handy
<> < =1.2> <> A Ziploc bag with a few baby wipes left in the car are great for wiping hands before drive-through meals as well as being good emergency stain removers.

Glenn:

I have had good luck with Auto Magic Leather Cleaner.

You can puchase Zymol (a little expensive ) at Target.

Actually I think the thing is growing dirt!  I don't drive it much, maybe 2k in the last 3 years.  Hands are always clean, when I wok on it I put the cover on that came with it. I have tryed the Zymol but dosen't do a good job.

SF-77.  It's a cleaner used by pro custodians.  Purchased at cleaning/janitorial supply companies.  You have to dilute it, but it will clean almost ANYTHING.  I use it on interiors on a regular basis.  A small amount goes a LLOONNGG way.  Mix it with water and put it in a spray bottle.  Then wipe with a clean rag.
