Try Dynamic Corvettes <www.dynamiccorvettes.com>. I used them before for hard to find parts and they've always had what I was looking for.

It actually takes a special tool to get under that trim and remove without damaging the clips. Once done correctly the trim piece will snap right back on easily. Once youv'e seen it done, it's really very simple. It's good to get those off before painting and get all the crud out for a nice paint job. It makes a big difference. If you know anyone who paints cars they might show you the trick or there may be a "how to" book out there somewhere....Seems to me I've seen those trim pieces in one of the dozen or so vette parts catologs. Sorry I can't nail it down right now. Good Luck My Friend. aceinthehole4938938.3501041667

I bent a small screw driver about an inch back from end to a 30 degree angle and two of us removed it . Didn't break any of the clips however previous person had. the rear window had a code which said M  81. Does this indicate an 81 glass was installed on a 78 or does the 81 mean anythig?

It deffinitely needs removing to paint! lots of crud been deposited there over the years.
