when i got the vette the needle was always close to overcharge. found that for some reason the red wire was spliced at the alternator 
this wire runs to the under hood light and HEI. checked continuity and seemed fine reconected the wire and removed the splice that had also run to the choke.
charges fine now but the choke doesn't work
no power to the choke and the choke light is on, checked the relay and it was not working, have one on order hope this fixes it. now all I have left to do is put on the smart strut from VBand P, and I should be ready for summer.
