There are numerous posts on this forum about this subject. Most of the
Corvette vendors have insulating materials that insulate against heat
and noise. I am certain many members will respond to your question and
have some great ideas.

You can get some of that stuff at Home Depot or Lowe's too.

I got some stuff from lowes.. in about a 2' roll. Looked like bubble wrap with alum foil on both sides. Not sure how good it is compared to the vendors, but the price is different for sure. I put it in my '73 and it cut the cabin temp considerably!

The local vette mechanic here recommends the Home Depot stuff as equal to the sound and heat deadening that you get with the expensive stuff.
