There are numerous posts on this forum about this subject. Most of the Corvette vendors have insulating materials that insulate against heat and noise. I am certain many members will respond to your question and have some great ideas.

You can get some of that stuff at Home Depot or Lowe's too.

I got some stuff from lowes.. in about a 2' roll. Looked like bubble wrap with alum foil on both sides. Not sure how good it is compared to the vendors, but the price is different for sure. I put it in my '73 and it cut the cabin temp considerably!
