Vette(s): 1980 corvette, very modified. Right hand drive done by myself.
Thanks Norsky, funny how I can fully rebuild a C3, but still can't get to grips with a damn computer. |thumb|

That interior conversion is out-freakin'-standing! Although the steering wheel IS on the worng side of the car |wink| I was thinking of doing a custom interior in mine, but I was thinking like white -face autometer gauges, not actually BUILDING a new dash. You have given me inspiration. By the way, to the original poster, you can do anything you want with time and money. I would think it would be easier to buy a C5 and graft a C3 body on it than try to stuff a C5 console into a C3. The body could stretch, it would be hard to shrink the dash. That said, I think FlamedVette80's design is WAY more trick. Good luck whatever you decide and let us know how it goes!

Vette(s): ...
Fantastic looking Vette from the outside but not much like one one the inside, more like a custom car , but all to our own taste when it is your own baby! |thumb| |cheers|

Heh. Well. When I said a C5-like dash, I didn't mean a total retrofit. Just something a little more updated, with more flowing curves, rather than boxy cheap plasticy squeeking ... etc..... =)

Vette(s): 1979 Black on Black, heavily modified. 1975 Orange, bone stock (for now).
I think interior can't be any more plastic than the C5, it may have nice roud curves, but it's still very cheap ABS plastic all around. The C3 interiors are no better I really like the C2 interior a lot.
But like all the things in life it always comes down to ones liking, so here's what I did to personalize my 79 interior:

New, better than stock seats, 4 point harness.

New carpet everywhere, new pedals.

Custom made center console and parking brake handle.

Custom made cauge panels with Aftermarket cauges. Modernized A/C system and control panel.

That Oz vette is absolutely perfect

Jay,who supplied the seats and the pedals? Sporq, your Vette must have been treated badly & in lousy shape if it squeeks & rattles.I've yet to meet someone else with that problem. |smokin| |no-no|

I like what you've done. What are you planning for the door panels? I was planning on modifying my panels for my speakers, but I might just go with full custom pieces. How did you do the parking brake handle, that is SWEET! You guys are giving me too many ideas I can't afford, lol.

As a minimum for the seats,I'd like seat covers, black with yellow accents.Or seats themselves with the same.I'd like to spruce up the pedals, especially the brake pedal size,as I'm 6'3",with size 13's,and my left foot has barely enough room next to the pedal to not be in the way. |ohwell|

They are made by company called Sparco. The seat model is Milano and the pedals are called Stripes. Look for more info here: www.sparcousa.com

|laugh| The Parking brake handle is one of a kind. I used 3D software to dublicate the stock handle. Then just CNC'd the handle out of billet aluminum. The door panels are currently beein re-trimmed, they will have minor custom touch too. |cheers|
