well, guys, I like everything about the 78 my wife owns. even the interior. it is such a thrill to finally own and drive one. I've seen the wood interiors at shows and wouldn't trade the classic look. The radio opening was cut out for an aftermarket radio which was stolen before we got the Vette. So we will have to get a new uppercenter console panel to a put in a radio that has Corvette written on it and turning knobs to get the classic look back totally, unless someone knows how to make or where to get a faceplate that would work and still look classic. On the otherside I also was surpriseed to see how many stock parts from other cars are on the c3's. but it also makes it easier to get replacement parts now at places like NAPA and not just the higher priced Corvette specialists places. |cheers|

My '77's in pretty good shape.The only thing I'm considering is maybe adding a spoiler or two,trimming out the console,wider wheel/tire package,composite monospring,and I need to replace a door panel.Oh,and someone carved up my dash to put in a crappy stereo that's still there! |cussing|

They also carved big holes behind each seat,to put in 2 big,ugly speakers that sound like $h1t.At least you cant see them until you tilt the seats forward |blinkyeyes|

so I dont have to deal with them immediately |frown|

I think that in some states it's a hanging offence to carve up a vette,run a title check and hang the clown!

Vette(s): 1980 corvette, very modified. Right hand drive done by myself.

I have done the full custom job on the interior of my 80. I built a new dash and centre console from scratch, please guy's don't jump down on me for this. I love the shape of the sharks but I have never really liked the interior and besides its my car so i'll build it how i like. I have got a couple of pic's I could post if anyone is interested.
