Vette(s): 1968 convertible 427/390hp 4spd. silverstone silver
does anyone know where i could download, or get a detailed drawing for a body dolly. The one in Noland Adams book doesn't seem to have all the body mounts covered. I have a convertible and i think i need to support it more than that book shows. Any help will be greatly appreciated. thank you ...brad

hi,
i will be building a body dolly soon for my 71 coupe.
i want to make it different from the one shown in the link above.
does anybody know the dimensions of the locations of the bolts that bolt the body down? how far between front to rear, how far apart side to side?
also, is there any height differences ?
does anybody have that info in a sketch that they could send me?
thanks
joe

I've got a '71 convertible and need to get the body off the frame for some work and am looking for input. I was planning on building a frame/fixture with wheels that I can roll around. Before I began, I wanted to ask for input...no sense in reinventing the wheel. Any input would be appreciated.
I have reviewed the link shown in this thread...but agree with others that additional details/information is needed. I too would appreciate any information regarding the body mount dimensions, locations, height offsets, etc... In addition, anyone who may have built one of these before may have insight into what is the best approach/pitfalls, improvements, etc...
Thanks,
