Butterfly clip question

 I recently bought a butterfly clip to fix the passengers door handle. But it didn't come with the instructions as indicated when purchased. Can anyone explain how to install this clip so the handle will stay up like it should. They claim you don't have to remove the panel or handle to install, but I have no clue. Help please.Confused

You must be talking about the quick-fix spring for the outside "flapper".
You need to press it together with your thumb and forefinger, and slide the "open" end of it in the gap between the flapper part, and the handle itself. It's hard to explain...shame they didn't send you a pic, or instructions...
I'll look and see if I can find something a little clearer.
