I know this is an old topic, but has anyone recently bought a Tru-Flex or FexFit bumper. I am in need of one and want to get it soon... I have heard Ecklers is a good source. I also heard ToledoPro has factory seconds but not sure about the source of info (another Vette site).

The last time I needed one was about 12 years ago. I got it from
Ecklers and was pleased with the fit. I know some other here will chime
in.

The last "Tru-Flex" I got I ordered from Riks. Can't remember who it was actually made by, tho... it may have been ASC(American Sports Cars)
It was high quality, tho, even tho they sent the wrong year model!
I needed one for a '77, and got one for a '74!! Go figure! Used it anyway, as this was a full custom job...wide body, Daytona front, etc. The fake split/two piece bumper looked kewl.
Don't know if I would go for a "factory second"...

Ray, I ordered one from Ecklers 12/2004 a Flex-Fit $ 329.99..You saw the car in Tennessee, Very happy with it, I think it's better than the original rubber skin type, no wrinkles..Straight.. Thanks all... I decided to go with the Trueflex from Riks. Second choice was Echlers, but Riks will have it to me on Monday and about $ 30 less. The only thing I don't like about Riks... i hear they charge you a 15% restock fee on returns even if the item is defective and you don't want it. Hopefully this won't be the case with this bumper cover. We will see.... Everyone seems to be pretty pleased with Riks service and parts..
Thanks for the post on doing the cover Brian.. looks like I will attempt it next week... I will have someone else paint it, but it will save me a bunch on $40 per hr. labor. Body Shop wanted 8 hours to remove and replace.
