Broken edge inside fender drivers side

My 73 bb convertible has the lip broken off the inside driver side fender where the hood prop is attached. There is about 6" missing. How do I fix this? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Without seeing the damage, I would say that it could be built up with fiberglass to make the repair. Either that, or graft in a piece from another(donor) car. Approve

Take a picture and provided it. If it needs a donner part I may have a line on one.

Now that I have seen the pics...I don't think the fender is broken, or has been cut out....it's like that from the factory. The hood support does not bolt to the fender lip there anyway....the support bolts to the inner fender panel, below the lip on the upper fender. There is also a metal plate/support riveted under neath there to provide support for the hood prop/support. I've try to get some pics of mine later, if I have a chance....
Does your car not have a support at all? I don't see one in any of the pics. Ermm

Not my car, but I did find this pic stored on my 'puter. The fender is modified to allow clearance for the hood hinges, and the hood support, in that area. The support bolts to the lower/inner fender panel.

On 73's the hood bracket bolts on to end of the lip. It did not come from the factory that way and neither any of my other 6 73's. The bracket is not there because it was attached to the fiber glass lip that broke off. One of my other 73's has the lip broken off also. It seems that stupid people try to close the hood without lifting and releasing the hood bracket. I am sure other C3 people have seen or had this situation and I need to know how it gets restored.
