Vette(s): None yet but looking for a '71 or '72 Roadster, 4spd
Hey everyone, I'm currently looking for a 71 or 72 roadster and came across a Brands Hatch Green Roadster with green interior. I have two questions for all of you, how rare is this color combination and what are your personal feelings about it. By the way the convertible top color is white.

Thanks in advance!

I am not sure on the color combo someone else might have exact info i am sure it is a rare combo though, sounds like it, and it really only matters if you like it or not. not sure what type of records there are for those early years as far as the white top I personal have never liked the white top, it might look okay on the green but black is the color for a top, but that is just me. good luck

They made 3,445 Brands Hatch green cars in '71, and it was a one year only color, so it is fairly rare no matter what color interior. The '71 registry shows six Brands Hatch Green cars, only one of which had a green interior. Not a very definitive answer, but an indication.

Mine was originally green interior with Brands Hatch on the outside. A PO changed the interior to black and I have left it that way as I have replaced components. I like the black interior better.

Brands Hatch is a beautiful color. My fiancee's '71 is Brands Hatch. Her car has saddle leather. I would speculate most of the Brands Hatch cars got tan or black, but the dark green was a color recommended by GM. Post some pics. I'm willing to bet the green on green is a nice combination.

In 1971, about 1/3 of thr Vettes were convertibles (7121 of 21,801).
Brands Hatch Green was the second most popular color (War Bonnet Yellow was #1 at 3706).
Brands Hatch Green exterior could be ordered with either black or dark green. The dark green is a vinyl.
The soft top came either black or white.
The important question is.......do you like it?

There are no published color quanities for the '73s. There is an NCRS member who is charting all the original '73s he can find. He has some color quanties based upon what he has found. You might want to join the NCRS, get on their forum, and check the numbers.
