I'm new to this forum and this information may already be out there. I'm trying to decide how I'm going to support the body of my 78 while restoring the frame. I've seen various videos where guys have used wood, some looked very shakey. Does anyone know of a set of plans for the dolly or know where to get them? Also, does anyone know if the doors need to be removed before lifting? Thanks

Last question first. I would leave the doors on for more rigidity, but it is not critical. I just build three sawhorses, each the correct height for its spot. The first goes under the core support to support that long nose. The second and third go under the main body tub, one at the firewall, and one as far back as possible. That will be good for a few months.

Thanks for the info. I was hoping to find plans for something mobile. I may wind up going the way you suggest if I can't figure something else out. Thanks for the advise on the doors.
