Vette(s): My 1974 Vette sold last August 2014. I am still willing to show up to events and local gatherings if anything happening No new vette yet.
Hi.

Where is a good place to get a car cover for a '74 vette?  i have seen several styles and versions and tons claiming they are scratch resistant and they won't harm the body etc...  What do you all use and what would you recommend?  I am keeping the car in a garage but when i am not using it i would still like to cover it to keep the dust and whatever else off the car.

thanks for you input.

My favorite is Technalon.  It is a soft synthetic liner covered by a water resistant breathable sheet.  They fit the car perfectly, provide protection against the accidental bump with a kid's bike, etc.  If you leave it outside and it rains, the rain will run off for quite some time before some starts seeping through.  Then the breathable fabric lets it dry again.  We sell them for $174.95 less your 10% discount.

I have a 3-layer cover that is great for keeping the dust off. Made by Wolf and cost me $150 four years ago.
There are all grades and prices, but the one Larry sells sounds perfect.

I use one that is just a dust cover. It was made by Buget and my wife got it at a garage sale for $2. It keeps the dust off but thats all. It fits well but I have to take the antenna off to put it on. Some of the better brands make it fit over the staff which is kinda nice.

I also use the Noah ($150) by Wolf, a good quality cover, but nothing seems to stand up to the intense Calif. sun. I've tried several different covers, Noah being the best, and they have all started to wear through in less than 3 yrs. I'm afraid to pay more with the results I've had. I've stopped buying expensive covers and invested my money in a carport instead LOL. I love it Thumbs%20Up.
