How are the rear of the front fenders attached to the fire wall?  How do you get the panels apart without destroying them?  How can I disolve the cement at the bonding strips? THANKS!

 Sorry buddy....I been slackin off.....LOL

The bonds between the panels and the body are stronger than the fender panels themselves, so it's next to impossible to remove a fender, quarter panel, deck, or hood surround without damaging them. Assuming the panels haven't been replaced already, and the repair was done badly. In some cases like that, the panels might fall off fairly easily without much damage at all.
The most common procedure to remove the front fenders is to cut thru them with a sawzall, right above/below the bonding strip, and in front/behind the bonding strip by the cowl/hinge area. Then a chisel or grinder is used to remove what's left of the fender from there....

Does that help?

Ouch  YUP! It does.  Which means it's gonna be messy. I had a gut feeling that was gonna be the answer.  THANKS!
