The blower motor(circuit) is designed for the blower to run on low speed any time the key is on. This has to do with the ventilation issues. One note, tho...it only works this way on the A/C equipped cars. The non-A/C cars do not have this unique feature, since they have vents that can be opened.

Perhaps your switch was replaced somewhere with a switch for a non-A/C car? Just a weird thought, but... If the panel does actually have the word "Off" by the blower switch, AND it has the A/C position on the slider, that seems really weird...

Bottom line is, the fan is supposed to run with the key on, regardless of the blower switch position...

Thanks for the reply Joel, for now I have removed the brown wire from the blower motor resistor and this has done away with that feature. I can't stand the noise of the fan running unless I want it on.

Another question here,

Is there a kit from some of the vette supply houses that replaces all of the ac/heater vacuum lines and the vacuum fitting that connects to the heater/ac controls?

Links not werking, John...

I know there are kits with the vac. lines, and instructions on where they all go, but I don't know about the molded connector("vacuum fitting") that fits on the control...
