What I know:
With the ignition on, blower motor operates at low speed, however selecting 2nd, 3rd or High has no affect. Running test wire from + side of battery to Orange (high), Lt. Blue (3rd) and Tan (2nd) wires at switch connector results in blower operating at correct speeds. Seems to me the motor and relay are OK.
Is the console switch the problem or have I overlooked something?

Don't forget to check the blower resistors.

I had the same thing on my '69, it was the switch.

I will take a look at the resistors, if OK, the switch will be replaced.
Thank you, Ken and Matt

Hello,
Had the same problem with my 82. Turns out the connector had fallen off of the fan switch. Got access to switch by partially removing driver side console side panel.
Just my 2 cents
