The pockets on the steel birdcage on the body of my 73 where the #3 body mounts attach are badly rusted. I bought some repair pieces from paragon that look like they are supposed to be welded into the structure. This is very close to alot of fiberglass. Has anyone had any experience with these? I am going to have to find someone to do some welding on this and a couple of other spots on the car such as the #1 body mount on the frame, the clutch pivot braket and a couple of repair sections on the windshield frame. Any suggestions?

Definitely a job for an experienced welder, preferably a Corvette shop for the windersheild frame and the body mounts.
MIG or TIG welding would be the best for these mounts, especially the #3. Less heat involved.

Thats pretty much what I figured. I know a guy that TIG welds tube frame aircraft fueselages that I will probably use.
