I had mine straightened in the process of a frame-off (while the body was off). It drives great now. With the body on, I would think you will have problems with fiberglass cracking on a Vette. I will be interested if anybody has experience with this.

How did you have it straightened? Did you have to send it somewhere, or did you do it yourself?

Good to hear, I just may go for a frame-off restoration as a result of the chassis problem. In for a penny in for a pound.

We had our frame straightened at a body/frame shop. It needs to be one that is trustworthy. It's easy for them to do. The frames bend like wet spaghetti. I would not do it with the body attached. It's a job for a pro.

How can you tell if the frame is bent?

Is it very obvious in the way it drives, or do the tires just wear quickly no matter if they are aligned properly and often?
