Would like to install a battery shut off switch..(not the kind that attaches to the battery terminal).. Has anyone installed one? If so what kind and how..

a
got a 30 amp push pull switch,made an alum. bracket and mounted it under the consul directley under the ash try,ran the pink ign. wire from the fuse box through the switch to the HEI. Someday I'am going to wire a relay through the same switch to my trans saftey switch, no power to the dist, open circuit on the saftey switch, now if I can only find a fuel shut off selonid

I got a Cole-Hersey main disconnect like a race car. I took a large clamp and clamped it to the back of the panel behind the seats (inside the battery compartment). I use it to disconnect the negative terminal.

Yeah,I'm using the one on a terminal.If you want,for security you can take the threaded knob with you.An alarm system is next,but the question is,will it operate with just the jumper lead on my battery disconnect??
