Anyone seen a Battery Disconnect on the market that alleviates removing the cable? Kinda lookin for a theft device and to preserve batt when parked for awhile.

They're quite available. Check NAPA, Pep Boys or a speed shop. Summit Racing and Jegs probably have them as well.

$10 for the plain ones. $18 for the one that keeps your clock running.

I have/had problems with the above mentioned product. I even tweeked it to try and eliminate loosing my connection at inopertune times.

I found this device that seems to be a better product. (???) I have not ordered it yet but will soon.....google "batlock"...

I've been using both types, but I prefer the type that Howard posted for it's intended purpose. The red key style is a great anti theft device, kinda Marine like in nature, as you would switch your boat battery. The ceramic bolt in style with the knob is actually a fire prevention device. When properly installed, in case of impact, the jarring motion would snap it off and prevent any spilled fuel from igniting electrically. Ingenious. aceinthehole 2008-03-13 09:44:47
