Vette(s): had a really nice one. sold it to a good friend. Purchased 2004 custom coupe in Feb. 2009 did not tell anyone here until August 2009. BAD I KNOW.
as some of you have seen in carson city i developed a headlight that would not drop, any way the last time i drive it at night they would not open bad news for guy who don't know crap anyway the basic question is this:  I need to see what is going on up under inside that nose area, shouls i remove the hood to gain more access to this area, is it easier to go from under neath?  I figure i have all the books and manuals and every one here, so i should try this before i pay more labor cost, any help will be help, i had been fighting this vacumn system through 3 years and as many shops, really starting the urinate me,,,,,,,,
thats all thanks

Ya doesn't needs tuh remove da hood, just have it open. Most of the testing of the vac. system can be done from the top. You can push the lights up in an emergency from underneath, as well as push them down.
If you have the service manual, that will be a great place to start. I have some vac. testing info, if needed. Just give me a P/M.

larry, go to www.corvette-101.com. he has the complete guide on how to troubleshoot the vacuum system for the headlights. the biggest thing is it's FREE. it is easy to follow and anyone should not have any problem following it.  eddie208752007-08-30 20:09:54
