Vette(s): 1972 coupe/350 cid/mild cam/4 spd/20 ft. paint (looks perfect from 20 ft.), but it sure runs nice.

Is this thread in the right place?

Does anybody know the approximate weight of a bare frame (no susp.comp., driveline, etc.).....In other words, can two guys pick it up by themselves? Also, what's the going rate for a reconditioned frame ($$$)?

Completely bare, 2 men should be able tto handle it. Ben had a substantial amount of work done to his frame and he's posting costs on his progress web site. You can also buy a good used frame (buyer beware) or go all the way to a custom made frame. Depends on how far you want to go or how much cash you are willing to spend.

The bare frame weighs around 200 lbs. give or take, depending on year model. This is a link to Ben's project.
Hope this works!

Thanks, Boys!!

Is this a fair price?:

Remanufactured      $2200-3400

roll away (susp./steering)  $8500-11900

Corvette USA in Calif. (I know, shipping)

Hey Ben,

I thought it was long-gone.....let me get back to ya. Are there any differences between a 69 frame and 72? Storage is going to be a problem but I'm working on it. Thanks.
