What is a good "how-to" book for working on C3 interiors? I want to fix the lights on the center dash, replace the side and center air vents, replace the radio and fix the power door lock switches.
I really need lots of pictures and text to walk me through the disassembly and reassembly.

Corvette Restoration Guide 1968-1982 (Paperback) By Richard Prince.
This book is on sale at buy.com. $19.40. Plus shipping.
Does anyone already have it?
Is it a worthwhile addition to my library?
I am not planning to do a restoration, but there is always something to fix, so I figure if it helps me with a couple of jobs, it would pay for itself.

I have the Corvette Restoration Guide 1968-1982 ( Richard Prince)and the Original Corvette "The restores guide" (Tom Falconer) These books will show you what the car should look like as it was new. I also have a copy of the assembly manual for my year, again it shows you how the car was put together. Your in need of a shop manual or somthing like Haynes or Chiltons. Hope this helps

I have to agree with Ben, I have a pretty good collection of books and manuals, but I have yet to find one that goes into that level of detail, the books offer a lot of good info, but really don't give very specific info, mostly because they try to cover too many model years.
Take advantage of a the site, there are a lot of people here that have done what you are wanting to do, just ask!

I agree with dave and ben, just ask the forum what it is you are trying to do and I'm sure someone will know the answer because we have all been there. Sometimes more than once.

Another source is the Chevrolet Corvette Restoration Guide by Lindsay Porter, ISBN 0-7603-0325-8. It has a Chapter (4) on Interiors and the content is listed below:
Interior Trim and Carpet
Removing and Restoring the Seats
Speaker Replacement and Dash Repair
Parking Brake Console
Folding Top
As a note, I found all of the books mentioned in this thread at any of the major books stores such as Barnes & Noble, Borders, and Walden Books. I would go there perview through them and decided which one served my search. They all run between $19.95 and $24.99. If you used them once then you have paid for them. I believe creating a reference library is very helpful. True, there is alot of experience posted at C3VR, but these reference books have further clarified what the guys/gals were talking about. Sort of fills in the blanks.
