Got a horn replacement kit from Mid America and I'm not sure what one of the parts is for. Anyone know what the little black plastic part is?
Thanks, Glenn

It is the contact insulator. It slides over the contact and holds it & the spring in the hub assembly. The spring goes in first, then the contact. The contact insulator slides over the contact, is pushed down and then turned to lock into place so the contact and spring stay in the hub.

Thanks Steve,
Thats what I thought. However, while working on this repair, I found that the horn is shorted out in the column and I'm going to have to drop the column and check the wiring harness.
