1981 Corvette antenna relay replacement part , can anyone help me find a vendor who has this part ? I’ve been unable to find a replacement, relay only ,,thank you for your time and consideration
i have rebuilt antenna, it functions as it should ,But,, it works intermittently when I turn on the radio & off, sometimes it takes time ( 5 seconds) to operate, sometimes also it goes half way up and stops and a few seconds later continues to full up ?,, I always hear the relay click when I turn the radio on or off, any input would be appreciated.

I would check the output voltage of the relay before getting a new one. Might be that the new antenna is faulty.

Thank you, unfortunately, that relay add you sent me on eBay is for 1984 and up Corvettes. i will check voltage on relay as you suggest on relay and also antenna signal on radio.
i’m 78 years old and it’s a hassle to get in to the vehicle to work or check the relay but it’s something I guess I’ll have to try and do. Thank you for replying to my issue. Much appreciated. Larry

Oops, wrong part.

This old thread popped up in my search. A 78-79 relay will "work".

Years ago I had a GM parts interchange book. To keep costs down "The General", like most auto makers, was fairly good at using the same part in multiple model lines, but with a model specific part number.

hi I think I’m on the right track with the part. I purchased in the above post, they look identical to the original other than the mount. Haven’t received the part yet, but I believe based on the pictures that it will accommodate my plugs to the antenna
thank you for your reply.
