Hey folks, I'm sure someone out there must have had this problem before. I have a 1980. The other day I turned on the radio, and the power antenna did not go up. I turned it on and off 3 0r 4 times, and then it finally went up. The problem is, now it won't go back down, no matter how many times I turn the radio on and off. I can hear the relay behind the passenger seat "clicking" each time, but the antenna doesn't move. Any Ideas ?

There's a relay in the rear of the console, just ahead of the parking brake lever. That's what you hear clicking. It's at least getting power and a signal from the radio, so the problem is either the relay itself or after it in the wiring...perhaps the antenna motor itself. A test light will help determine it.

Thanks Gunslinger, hopefully I'll get a chance to work on it in the next couple of days. It's been rough week.
