Folks:

I was cleaning the t tops and got the bright idea to take the interior framework off from the inside of the passenger side top first.  There must be some great adhesive under it as I was unable to get it loose.

I then decided to tighten everything back and forget the idea.  Unfortunately, I realized too late that I probably should not tighten them too much and then it happened.  I heard the pop.

The front passenger stud glued to the underside of the top popped loose.  It did not break the glass, but I can see looking into the mirrored glass where it cracked from the glass.  The framework is again heavily adhered and I did take her out for a run since and nothing happened, but can I expect to be tooling down the interstate and loose the top?

Thanks for any advice!!

That sux...
That's a good question...I've seen/heard about several glass tops becoming low flying UFOs, even with no damage to the locks/bracketry. Might want to keep some duct tape handy, just in case.
It may be repairable, possibly someone here will have to scoop...

I appreciate your reply Big Joel.  Yeah, it does suck, but things happen for a reason they say, we'll see.
