Vette(s): 1978 INDY PACE CAR #3016 of #6502 built. Has original Pace car decals still in GM boxes the way it was delivered to GM dealers. per NCRS "UPDATE" Decals applied as of 3/8/02 (ALL ORIGINAL)
Normand, In this same column there is a thread called ( Project Make Factory Anti-Theft Alarm Work Again). In there Red Hot Vettes posted a similiar problem with his 1980 vette. The locking pins in his T-tops were not connecting and caused a open circuit which made his alarm sound all the time. This could possibly be your problem, check his post out to get more details.

sounds like the wires on the door lock are reversed. Try switching the wires.

Norm,
if the switch is working backwards, i would try and switch the wires around on the switch. one should be yellow and the other one should be lt blue just about all of your lt blue is for your alarm system. if you want to check your switch then you are going to have to take a DMM and check it across the terminals. What i would do is just take your yellow wire and the lt blue wire and switch them on the switch and then try your alarm system. it should work.
