Thanks to all who gave me their opinions on radio systems a while ago. We went with the Alpine with a cd player. Got it pretty cheap at cicuit city and they put it in.The only thing they screwed up is now my lighter doesn't work |eek| but if the car is sitting in the driveway and the radio is on you can hear it in the house |biggrin| will fix the lighter myself |laugh| |hammer| Now I gotta go get some cd's and throw out all the 8-tracks |laugh| |wavey| |saluteflag|

luvmy76,
Getting a new radio for my '82 is high on the list for the spring.
Glad to hear you like the Alpine and that Circuit City has a good price.
I have to find out why my lights for the gages aren't working, so I will get both done at the same time. |hammer| |hammer|

The ground wire on the lighter is very short, bet it fell off. I had the same problem.

Ken,

Just to let you know, those 8-tracks was them new fangled things that you could listen to them music songs on while you're driving.

No more skipping on the vinyl records.

Yea I had a hard time finding a Power conveter to operate the turntable, so 8 track it was. ( I actually have one, and some tapes, don't know if they work. ) |eek|

You guys laugh, but in the '60's I remember seeing a small turntable in a friends car, he could only play 45's on it.
I guess now I have to explain what a 45 is????????????? |laugh|
