Just bought the car. Drive home no brake lights. Turn signals work, hazards work, 12volts at switch. Switch ohms out , tried a another switch and still nothing. I'm at loss and looking forward to a nice cruise later if I can fix it.

If the switch is good, and you have voltage at the switch, turn sigs and hazards work, I would have to condemn the turn signal switch....or the wiring. Brake lights have to go thru the turn signal switch to keep the front turn sigs from lighting up when you press the brake. The two systems are separated in the turn sig switch.
