'79 color

Hi everyone,

Our '79 is the original Corvette Light Blue. I know this color wasn't very common (only about 3,100 out of the 53,000), and we haven't seen another one that color.

Anyone out there have one that color?

Thanks for the quick reply! Does the light blue one you saw have very much "blue" to it? Most people think ours is white--and I have to admit, it looks white until you get it in just the right light and at just the right angle. We're pretty sure this is the original paint job.

Hi Sheryl,

In the site's Help section click on the link for 'Adding a Photo to Your Forum Signature' for directions on how to upload images and get them to display. It's geared towards the Gold/Lifetime members so you have a couple of options:
1 - upgrade from the Standard member level to either Gold or Lifetime and have access to the Personal File Folder area (and also be a supporting member of C3VR); or
2 - reference your images from another internet site

A lot of members struggle with this so don't feel that it is impossible. Any of the moderators will be happy to answer any questions you may have or help in any way they can.

The Light Blue was indeed very rare colour back in 79 and nowadays it has become almost distinct due all the respraying etc...
I've only seen 4 LB 79 in person and in the 79 Registry I have none listed, I have pics of LB 79 in the gallery though. Your car would make a great addition to the registry, maybe a feature car even?

Okay, I'm going to see if I can add a picture of the 'Vette to my profile. It's from Classmates.com, so I'm not sure if non-members of it can see the photos or not. But, we'll soon know.

If you go to the 1979 Corvette Registry and register your car there, can upload one photo to your profile, you can use that pic for your profile here too!
