Could someone share with me their opinion about the wood dash kits for a 78-82? (I have an 82). I have seen them in the catalogs (diagrams or uninstalled) but have not one installed, not even in a picture. Does anyone have one installed? Or a picture perhaps? Thanks!

when I purchased my 1979 it already had a complete interior wood kit (dash, console, and even the rear storage lids in rosewood) installed in it. I prefer the "original" look but have yet to remove the wood. It looks fine, I've has gotten compliments on the interior, and I've won trophys with (or in spite of) the add-on wood kit. -sorry butI don't have any pictures for you. Guys have told me the kits are easy to install, if that's any help.

I'm re-doing mine in curly cherry that I bought in E-Bay. Looks great. I like it better than the original choices.

Hello Ron !
Just order today the kit for the console and dash will be able to give you my opinion of the look next week and also order a chrome shifter ball. ( mid america )
my console plate and gauges plate are not to good looking and hope this will help get it better.
Be careful some kit are so thick that the piece that you put on the ashtray door will block it and you won't be able to open it.
Normand.

Ron,
Just finished putting a set in mine. I got it From Corvette America. Went in fairly easily. Had to do a little trimming here and there but not too tough. I got the 100 $ one which is not the real wood. If I were to do it over I would go with thr real thing.
Good luck,
Dano
