The '76 Corvette shared the same steering wheel as the Vega for that year only. I e-mailed Grant at one time and they do not make anything for the 1976 Corvette.

Oh and how much should I pay for it? What would be a good deal?

Vette(s): 1978 25 anniversary blue on blue with T-tops.
I would say check out ebay and such. I paid like 150 for a used one like this, had it rebuild for 270 including shipping. It looked great after rebuild. If you are michanically inclined you may be able to rebuild it yourself, But that was someting I just did not want to get involved with.

There is an old post I posted back in July that has some info from suncountry that might help you out. The post is "1976 Steering Wheels?" Check it out!

Thanks Aaron,
Good info. I also found in that post, where you can just replace parts and get the same. I think I will check into gettings the parts. May be a easy deal. That is if I can find all the parts! LOL

What year model columns will fit in a 76? I found a 78 but not sure if it will fit.

I checked with our steering column expert. All 69 to 82 will bolt in.... BUT.. 77 had a wiper switch in it so should be avoided. Only 76 and newer had a dimmer switch in the column. Earlier ones had it on the floor. So a 78 to 82 is your easiest option. They are available for about $150.00 or so, plus about $300 to rebuild, if needed.
Good Luck

That is some great info. I am still learning about the vetts and maybe one day I will be in the place I can help out some fellow members.
Thanks again!
