I was trying to fix the miss-alignment of the t-tops on my 76 coupe over the week end and noticed the two tops don't line up alomg the front edge.
The problem seems to be in the center bar area as I noticed that the two fittings that except the bayonette fittings on the panels are positioned lower (approx 1/8") on the passenger side than the driver's. Is there a way to adjust these? Do I have to remove the center decor cover from the interior side to get at these or from the top?

I'm not sure about the center bar, but I know they sell shims to raise or lower the bayonet fittings on the T-top itself. I think this will raise or lower the Top to get both to match.
Good luck Carl!!

Shims are available at any corvette specialty site but be careful and go slow with adding them. They work to correct the misalignment but too much adjustment and the glass tops can bind when you close the tension handle, an expensive fix if one happens to crack from being cinched down too tight. A little give here, a little take there.

Thanks Mel and Chip for the information. I found and ordered the shims on Corvette Central (pack of 10 for $6) along with replacement insert (boots) for the fittings that the Bayonets slide onto. I guess I will try removing the decorative linner on the inside center bar to see if there is any other adjustment feature.
Yes Chip, I will be careful as I don't want to crack the smoked mirrored class ($1,000 A SET)
