Need some help here, my clock, power antenna, and interior lights don't work
. When I put a new fuse in, it just blows on contact
. This had to have happened while I was driving and listening to the radio
, due to the fact that the antenna is in the up position and won't go down. Everything else works, radio, instr. light and the other gauges.

Trace the power wire down to the antenna. It is aftermarket and may be rubbing on something. Also unplug the the power to the antenna motor. It could be the antenna is stuck and the motor is overloading blowing the fuse.

Ron's right...the only other thing on that circuit from the factory other than the courtesy lights is the ciggy lighter.
Glen is also correct...if your car has an electrical antenny, someone put it on there. I would unplug the antenny first, and see if the fuse blows then. If it doesn't, then the antenny is bad now, or the wiring from the radio to it has a short somewhere.
At least it's a place to start looking!

Joel and Suncountry, I want to thank you both on your expertise and knowledge on these Vettes
and Ron on the info on the cig lighter. The wire from the antenna was pulled apart and grounding out, all is well and working and no more fuses to be blown
. I'll be cruising this afternoon
, THANKS......
