The BODY of the car is different across the front....a '75 bumper cover will not fit on a '74....at least not without some serious surgery. There are bumper covers that fit the '74, but have the two "bumperets" on either side of the license plate....which the '73/'74 cars do not have. If the body of your car is straight across the front where the bumper cover attaches, it is a '74. If the body has a cut-out UP towards the hood in the center, it is a '75. It's possible the front clip was replaced with a '75-'77 clip. Why do you think it is a '75 bumper cover?

'73-'77 bumper cover comparison

Thanks for the help . I think if they changed the front. This disappoints me because I think the car's value depreciates. you believe your experience.

If you bought the car to enjoy and drive does it really matter the value.  if you bought to resale then yes.  sometimes we get to hung up on what the car is worth instead of just driving it and enjoying. IMHO

Do you have a pic of the front of the car? If it is straight across, then all you need is the "correct" bumper cover to put back on it. Thumbs Up
