My car is about 1 inch lower on the driver side. I replaced the leaf spring twice and new shocks in the rear and also a new sway bar. I didn't do to much in the front except a new sway bar. l jacked up the front and the rear at the same time and it still leaned. I think im missing something obvious.

Has it always been that way? Have you checked the dimensions in the factory service manual to see if it's the driver side low or possibly the passenger side high?

I dont remember if it was like that when I bought it. I am going to check out the specs today. Thanks. That's a great starting point

My right side was about 1 inch high when I took delivery and after the dealer attempted several times to fix it I wound up clamping the right front coil with spring clamps and it's been that way for over 70,000 miles with no adverse effects. When I get it to the paint shop one of these days, I'm going to have him put it on the frame machine and check it out.

I also have that problem I believe it is the drivers side, It has created some problems with getting things right on that side, but after a full body off restoration and some modifications there was bound to be some issues.  For me I am not going to worry about it, I truly think it was like that before and no one noticed so drive it that way I will

A few simple things to check in my uneducated experience.

- First check the air pressure in all the tires making sure they are the same.

- Then on a flat surface check the measurement from the ground to multiple spots on the frame.  The measurements at the left and right spots should be the same.  If not there is either a frame issue (twisted or tweaked) or a suspension issue (bad bushings, bent suspension parts, bent or soft springs, or adjustments that are not equal).

- If the frame is square to the ground take measurements from the ground to points on the body (typically the top of the wheel openings).  If the left and right measurements are not the same then there is probably an issue with the body mounts.

Shims at various points can address an issue but they are not a cure.

Good luck...!!!

And to add to what Norsky said, the factory service manual contains checkpoints and dimensions for the frame.

Vette(s): 1972 Corvette Stingray Coupe, 350 Base engine, p/s, p/b, a/c, automatic. All as original other than someone repainted it a Bright Yellow. It was Sunflower Yellow originally. Drives great, a nice 20 footer.

Good point about the frame to ground measurements, may help point to what to check on further.

My '69 was leaning to the driver's side. I replaced the bushings on the ends of the rear springs and used longer spring bolts. I adjusted the bolt tightness on both sides until the car was level. One side is tightened more than the other, but the car rides great.
