I am getting ready to put my front carpet in my 72 convertible. I was wondering if anyone has any pics of the carpet with the seat removed. I have pics of my 74 without seats but was wondering if there is any difference. If you could either post the pic or sed it to my email it would be greatly appreciated. I hope to get the interior done by the weekend.
Thanks
Rodney

I don't think there is a lot of difference in the carpeting between the '72 and the '74, as far as how it fits. There is a good pic of an early car in the new Mid Am catalog, with new carpet and the seats out. Don't know if that helps you any. I've got pics of Dwain's '72 interior with the seats out, but I don't think there were any with the carpet installed, but I may be wrong. I'll look and see.
Is there something specific you are looking for, or have a question aboot?

Nope...no pics with the carpet installed...just the foil-backed insulation....Unhappy

Joel,
Just looking to see how it was trimmed out.
I had the seats out of the 74 to look but I wasnt sure if there was anything different between them. With a light saddle it shows up more visible then the black in the 74. Ebo is sending me some information from your trip to MAM last year. I just want to get this part completed as I have been dragging my feet.
Thanks
Rodney

'Bout the only real tip I can give has to do with the area where the seat(s) bolts down in the front. Where the two bolts go thru the seat rail, you need to cut a "flap" around the rail, so with the seat bolted in, the flap will cover the bolts, and look clean. I think you need about a 2" flap.... Wish I had a pic so it would make more sense. I dint do that when I originally installed my rugs....then I had to go back later and fix it right. Now, I have a hole in the flaps, but...it's black carpeting, so it covers up easily.
The floor rugs go in first, then the console stuff, then the carpet on the bulkhead.
