I took your advice and just entered it for the C3 of the week.  Wish me luck....

I've also owned a 76 (my first vette) and a 71 too but this 68 is what I've always wanted.....well, except for a big block 67 which I won't be able to afford until I retire.

Vette(s): 1975 C3 Red, T-Tops, Black Interior. All I need is time and money! Getting there!

Good luck.

And take a look at www.fparts.us   and www.corvettejunkyards.com  for the parts you need.  Not new, but maybe.   You may also try Dr. Rebuild.

I'm thinking about replacing both Upper Windshield Corners which I'm told by Davies Corvette will include the striker plates if I get the 68L-76 but they are not cheap.  So, I'm searching for those now as well.  Since my Windshield corners are not the best this my be a good option for me, especially since nobody seems to carry the strikers anyways.

Question:  What is the black tar like material that is used when installing the upper windshield corners?  Is that just some sort of windshield molding material used for water proofing?  I'm sure an aout parts store would carry it but I still wanted to post the question.

Thanks....
