'68 Door Panels

We have been told that our door panels are not original to our car. They look like any other 68 door panel I have seen with the exception of a wood trim about half-way up the panel. The door handle and locks are in the same place. It dosen't have the window crank due to power windows. I was hoping someone could shed some light on this I don't know if our door panels were part of an option package or what. Thanks for your help.

The 68 door panels did not come with a wood grain option. There were two differences in the 68. Early 68 door panels had a grab area (has a black plastic insert)above the door handle and lock. The late 68's had a door pull handle added that is the same color of the panel. Your panel may be original, but just had a wood grain piece added.
