I have a 1981 C3 and would like to ask you gentlemen what is the best wat to disconnect the factory alarm system ?
Where is the module located ? Which wire to cut to disable alarm on the module ? Can I just remove the module to disconnect ? Any ideas ?

I am interested in your post. My alarm system does not work since the day I drove it home.
It's been a low priority since 2006. I haven't done research on the parts and pieces nor looked at the wiring diagram.
One of these days I would like to get it to work though.
