I'm not quite sure exactly where you mean, but on my 82 your describing, I think, the rear window defogger switch, but I'm not near the car now and trying to recall from memory.Does your year have that option? |headscratch|

Certainly is the defogger switch. Should be a 3 position rocker switch, center is off. If the defogger is not working, the fuse is located behind the small panel the switch is mounted to.

3 position?? Mine on my '76 is only 2 position - on/off. What's the 3rd position?

Eric,

The 3 positions are high, low, and off. Mine has off in the middle of the toggle switch.

Vette(s): 1976 Stingray,(early) White L48 loaded. Stock t-tops and also the original aftermarket "moonroofs". #'s matching.
The switch on my '76 is also a 2 position with a small red light when it's on.
Maybe the early 76's and later 76's had different switches?? |headscratch|

My 75 has the 3 position switch. I may have given you bad info, and I apoligize if I did. Perhaps the defog was only single speed starting in 76. Easiest way to tell would be look at how many wires are going to the motor. 3 wires would be 2 speed, 2 wires is single speed. |cheers|
