Welcome to C3VR!!!
Try THIS thread to see if there is a solution that fits you! There are several threads on broken hood release cables/stuck hoods. Hope one of these helps!

My hood release works with a lot of effort.  Would some graphite on the cable help or is it just better to replace the whole cable and related  parts?  This is on a 75 Coupe.

Lube all the moving parts of the release mechanism, then go down to your local GM dealer and get a new cable. The aftermarket pieces aren't worth the trouble to install. (voice of experience)

found another. if you go to general discussion forum and look for the thread "HOLE IN ONE" there are a few suggestions that you can try. one was on a 78 and may work on your 75. ley us know what you come up with as i know it will help me out with my 75 if anything happens.
