Just one quick question. I have seen conflicting answers on this one. What is the correct color for the dial face on a 1972 corvette radio. Is it green or white. I have heard that 68 thru 72 are green, then again I heard that the green face was 68 thru 71, and starting in 72 they changed to the white face. So, what is the color of the face of a 72 corvette radio? Thanks

Jimmie

Vette(s): 1971 Conv. Red/Red with White top. Base 350, 4 speed, PS/PB, AC, Tilt/Tel, Hard Top. Factory Side Pipes. ( I know its not stock, but I always wanted a car with side pipes)
White. 68 to 71 had the green for all gauges and radio. 72 and later had the white. If you win any money on a bet, I want half |laugh|

Thanks Tony, unfortunately I did not have a bet on this. My radio that I bought was supposedly for a 72. It does have the white letters and the right connections, so I am assuming it is a 72 radio. The paper sticker is not on the side giving the correct designation. I am satisfied with what I have as it works well and does have the white letters. Thanks again for the information, Jimmie
