Where is the fuse block located on a 1971 Stingray. I'm sure that one of the fuses is bad but I can't locate the fuse block to replace it.
Thanks

Thanks

Chilton's Corvette 1963-82 Repair Manual (#28500) on page 6-41 says that the fuse panel is located below the instrument panel to the left of the steering column.
Haynes Repair Manual 1968-82 (#24040) on page 12-2 simply says that the fuse panel is located under the instrument panel.
In my 1970 Assembly Manual on page UPC 12 Sheet B1 the fuse panel assembly is shown to be mounted just above the dimmer switch, so that would put it fairly low and to the left side under the instrument panel. I'd guess that the '70 and '71 models should be fairly similar in that regard. Haven't actually scouted mine out yet so can't verify it visually for you.

Thanks for the info. The first warm(er) day that appears, you'll find me on my back under the dash, fuse in one hand, fuse puller in the other and the flashlight in my mouth trying to change the fuse!

WAY WAY WAY WAY up under the dash driver's side. The best way to get to it is to lay on your back and wiggle in to the footwell. Take a flashlight with you; it's dark up there!

Vette(s): 1979 Black coupe. 11256 original, documented, miles on it when I bought it in April of 2000. It now has 13100 on it. Oyster interior, like new. Everything original, everything works, except the clock. Paint has a couple of minor flaws.
When you are big and fat like me, it is hard to get up to the fuse panel, but it can be done...They finally put the fuses where you can get to them in my trailblazer. Everything is either under the hood, or under the rear seats. Really easy to get to...
