1970 Stereo Radio Convectors Mounting

HI Guys,

I am trying to figure out where the stereo convectors mount behind the dash. Ideally if someone has a picture that would be worth a thousand words.

My car had an aftermarket radio set up that was no longer in working order and all of the original radio equipment was gone. I have since acquired the original stereo radio set up and it works fine. However, I can not figure out where the two convectors are to mount. I think I found the holes that the AIM talks about for the stereo convector but then where does the second convector get mounted. There are some holes in the windshield frame but none of them appear to make sense for mounting both units. The AIM seems to show them in the same place but does not show them both.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

For a 30 year old stereo it sounds okay.

Look wwwaaaayyyyy in the back of the manual at UPC-U69 pages A1 through A3 and UPC-U79 page A1.

There should also be a good picture from Juliet buried in a post a couple of years back when I was looking for an original AM/FM setup.

I am hoping to fire her up this week or next.

I thought I would only need 2 or three months to do the interior. Ooops, it has been 9 months. Never thought there could be sooooo many little details to make thing right.
