DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO TEST THE WATER TEMP. AND THE AMP GAUGE TO SEE IF THEY ARE WORKING CORRECTLY? THANKS

The easiest way to check your temp gauge is to groungd the wire at the sender. If your temp gauge pegs it is working correctly and the sender is bad. If not, then ring the wire by leaving it grounded and test for ground at the back of the gauge. If you have continuity, then the gauge is suspect. Try grounding it directly.(Careful not to ground the hot side of the gauge.)Then check for 12V on the other side of the gauge.

The easiest way to check the amp gauge is to use a 9 volt battery connected directly to the gauge. This should give you needle deflection in one direction or the other.
